The Judicial Service Handbook contains references and resources relating to judicial service, conduct and ethics, and access to records of the judiciary. It is published by the state Office of Court Administration as a reference guide for the judiciary in the state of Texas.

(NOTE: Some users have experienced difficulty with the link to Rule 12 Decision Summaries in Chapter VI when using Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 6.0. Upgrading to Version 6.2 resolves this problem for most users. If the link still does not work for you, please go to the Texas Judiciary Online home page http://www.courts.state.tx.us; from the right-side TCO Encyclopedia navigation box, choose R, then choose Rule 12 (Rules of Judicial Administration.)

Further information regarding duties of the judiciary may be obtained from the Texas Center for the Judiciary, the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center, the Texas Justice Court Training Center and the Texas Association of Counties.

To view or print PDF files you must have the Adobe Acrobat® reader. This software may be obtained without charge from Adobe. Download the reader from the Adobe Web site.
