Research and Court Services Division Organization Chart PDF
The Research and Court Services Division (R.C.S.) at the Office of Court Administration (O.C.A.) serves as a resource for the courts in key areas of judicial administration. The division provides consultation on recommended best practices in administrative operations, serves to increase public accessibility to the courts, and works to establish innovative court programs. The division also applies for and administers grants to fund court improvement projects.
In an effort to increase the collection of court costs, fees, and fines in the state, R.C.S. assists courts in the implementation of a model court collections program developed by O.C.A. Division staff provide training on collections policies and procedures and provide ongoing technical assistance to the programs that have been implemented.
The division has the primary responsibility for collecting, analyzing, and publishing court activity statistics and other judicial information received from the approximately 2,650 courts in the state. Statistics collected focus on significant issues and accomplishments in the judicial branch and are used for identifying opportunities for improvement in the judicial system.
