Extensions Requested and Received
OCA requested and received extensions from the State Justice Institute and the Court Improvement Project who are providing grant funding for the project. The completion date of the project has been extended from December 31, 2007 to March 31, 2008.  [05/16/07]
Presentation to Associate Judges
NCSC staff will do a presentation on the weighted caseload study at the 2007 Associate Judges Conference, in Austin. The presentation is scheduled for Thursday, July 19, 2007, at 4:30 p.m.   [06/20/07]
Selection of County Courts at Law Sample
OCA is currently surveying the sample counties to determine which county courts at law exercise civil and/or family law jurisdiction concurrent with the district courts. Once this information is obtained, a list of the county courts at law that will be invited to participate in the time study will be posted.   [07/06/07]
Review of Preliminary Results
The Judicial Needs Assessment Committee (JNAC) will meet on February 22, at 10:00 a.m., in the Supreme Court Courtroom, in Austin. National Center for State Courts (NCSC) staff have been analyzing the workload data received during the October time study. The preliminary case weights developed by NCSC will be presented to JNAC who will evaluate the reasonableness of the case weights and offer input about them and their application.
