Collection Improvement Program (CIP) Audit Department

The CIP Audit department performs audits of mandatory collections programs implemented by cities and counties under the authority granted in the Code of Criminal Procedure (CCP), Title 2, Chapter 103, Article 103.0033. The audits consist of tests to determine compliance with the requirements established in the Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Title 1, Part 8, Chapter 175, Subchapter A, §175.3. The department also conducts collection rate reviews, pursuant to CCP, Section 103.0033(f).

CIP Audit was transferred to OCA from the State Comptroller's Office, effective September 1, 2011, as authorized in House Bill 2949, 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, and Senate Bill 1, 82nd Legislature, 1st Called Session.

2013 AUDIT PLAN

CIP Audit has completed the FY2013 Risk Assessment and Audit Plan. The projects CIP Audit plans to perform during FY2013 are included in the 2013 Audit Plan. To review the Audit Plan, click here.
